Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of MetroCode.app and the Project Shopping List Chrome extension (“the Extension”, “the Service”). By using the site or Extension, you agree to these terms.
Last updated: 1 November 2026
1. Who we are
MetroCode.app provides small software tools, including Project Shopping List. Contact: support@metrocode.app.
2. The Extension
Project Shopping List lets you keep shopping-style lists of web links grouped into projects. List data is stored locally in your Chrome profile. We do not provide cloud sync or multi-device accounts for list content.
The free tier has usage caps (projects and links per project) and a limited set of themes. Features and limits may change as we improve the product.
3. Premium
Optional Premium removes free-tier caps and unlocks additional features (such as the Manager tab and seasonal / multi themes) on the browser profile where you redeem your code. Premium is a local unlock for that profile — not a cloud account, subscription, or transferable license across arbitrary devices.
You pay through Stripe (pay-what-you-want within the range we set). After payment we email a unique unlock code to the address you provide at checkout. You unlock Premium by pasting that code in the Extension settings. Each paid code is intended for one browser profile (a short retry window covers network glitches). Payment processing is handled by Stripe under their terms.
4. Payments and refunds
Prices and suggested amounts are shown at checkout. Because Premium is delivered as a digital unlock code, refunds are handled case by case. If something goes wrong (for example you paid but never received a code), email support@metrocode.app with your payment receipt or Stripe email and we will help.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Abuse, disrupt, or attempt to break the site, APIs, or Extension
- Share, sell, or publicly distribute unlock codes you do not own
- Use the Service for unlawful activity or in a way that harms others
- Reverse engineer the Extension except where applicable law allows
6. Your content and backups
You are responsible for the links and notes you store locally and for any backups you export. Importing a backup replaces data on that profile. We are not responsible for loss of local data (for example after clearing site data, uninstalling, or profile corruption).
7. Intellectual property
The Extension, site branding, and related materials are owned by MetroCode.app or its licensors. You may use the Extension as distributed through the Chrome Web Store (or other channels we authorize). These terms do not transfer ownership of our software or marks to you.
8. Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MetroCode.app is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for Premium in the twelve months before the claim (or zero if you have not paid).
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Changes
We may update these terms or the Service from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms. Material changes to paid features will be reflected on the site or at checkout where practical.

How we handle information is described in our Privacy Policy.
